Fed up with how people treat each other.

Why are so many people behaving very badly these days? Bad behaviour may not be anything new but it does seem to be escalating. Of course there have always been good people but they seem to be drowned out by others who only look out for themselves.

That seems to be the crux of the matter for when people behave selfishly others inevitably suffer. A person can be shot for looking at another in the “wrong” way and have their life cruelly and wantonly taken from them. This situation reflects not only the warped psyche of the criminal but of society in general.

Many now recognize the blatant craziness, but when will it all stop. When will people wake up to what they are doing to each other

A lot of people aspire to becoming rich and famous and see this as an escape from poverty or a humdrum existence. All they see in their pursuit is the glamour and apparent admiration of the masses. What they fail to see is what often goes along with the celebrity lifestyle, i.e. the public airing of dirty laundry. Do they really want the humiliation and misery that goes with the public exposure of their personal problems. No, it seems they act now, riding roughshod over others and think later if at all.

What is the use of all the technological breakthroughs and advances if the benefits exclude many of the worlds’ population.

The media could be used for good or ill but unfortunately it is frequently the latter. Advertising is an incredibly lucrative industry because it works. It is an effective medium for influencing and manipulating the minds of the masses. Advertising becomes particularly insidious when considering the pliability of children’s minds.

Morality, tolerance, compassion and being able to put yourself in another’s shoe is of vital importance if humankind is to make any progress.
